Gabriel Dörner

BA MA

Gabriel Dörner first studied communication design at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar with a focus on graphic and editorial design as well as didactics. With the interdisciplinary research project “Ästhetik der heilsamen Orte” he gained first experiences in academic teaching and project management. This was followed by further teaching assignments and independent work as a communication designer. Most recently, he was a student in the master’s program in cultural education at the University of Hildesheim, specializing in public relations, science communication, and participatory research approaches.

In the SHoW group, he is since 2023 responsible for the creative realization of communication tools, event planning and public relations. He is particularly interested in involving civil society in research. With his work at SHoW, he aims to contribute to further expanding the participatory approach of the research group and make the research process accessible to the public. The language to be used, how information should be designed and which audiences can be reached in this way are questions that he will work on in a practical way in the SHoW group.
