SHoW, the Ludwig Boltzmann Research Group for Senescense and Healing of Wounds, is based on an open innovation in science initiative of Heinz Redl.  As co-director of SHoW, he is responsible for the scientific leadership of the research group in the biomedical field. He has many years of in-depth expertise in trauma research and tissue regeneration, headed the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Traumatology from 1998 to 2018, and is coordinator of the Austrian Cluster for Tissue Regeneration.  With his work at SHoW, Heinz wants to ensure that patients with chronic wounds receive better care, that his colleagues advance in their scientific work, and that the open science approach can establish itself beyond the boundaries of SHoW.
